ABOUT WYATT CREATIONS
My passion for making jewelry began in 2005 as I was looking at someone else's pieces. I remember looking at her earrings and thinking ‘This is so cool. I can make my own jewelry at a fraction of the cost!’ And so began my journey into the land of beads...
I began visiting bead shops and taking classes (sometimes twice). The more classes I took, the more my confidence grew and I began making jewelry for myself in my spare time. A few of my colleagues in Corporate America noticed my designs and would ask me to make pieces for them and their family. ‘This is cool’, I thought. ‘This is a great way to supplement my income.’ It never crossed my mind to turn my hobby into my own business.
After Corporate America began to make more and more demands of my time, my spirit, and my finances, I realized there was a better way. I needed to do something I enjoyed and if I was going to work hard for someone, it would be ME!
I started reading books on starting your own business and the rest, as they say, is history. Wyatt Creations was incorporated September 2006.
I do have a long way to go before this company is where I want it be but I'm no stranger to hard work and long hours. Only this time, I'll be making beautiful pieces of jewelry...for you!
Wyatt Creations is a family business. My mother, Mary, has joined me as my chief creative genius and my brothers will soon join in other supporting roles as the business expands. We've added a line of soy candles and natural bath and body products, including handmade soaps, and we're planning on adding even more in the months to come!
